TD Bank Announces Plans with Intuit Canada & Microsoft Canada to Make Managing Finances Easier
TORONTO, Canada - February 25, 1997 - TD Bank customers who use TD Access: PC will soon find it easier to manage their finances. TD Bank has announced plans with Microsoft Canada and Intuit Canada to offer customers a link from TD Access:PC to Microsoft(R) Money 97 or Quicken(TM) for Windows. Available later this year, the new service will allow customers to transfer transaction information from their accounts directly into Quicken or Microsoft Money. TD Access: PC is TD Bank's innovative, fully-integrated, on-line banking and brokerage product. "This is great news for TD Access: PC customers who want to get the most from their personal financial money management software," says Ron Hodges, Vice President, Direct Services. "We are always looking for ways to help make our customers' financial lives easier, and this will be an invaluable featurethat will save them even more time."

Connectivity to TD Bank's online banking service will be enabled using Active Statement Technology and Open Financial Exchange. Open Financial Exchange, announced in January by Intuit Canada and Microsoft Canada, is the unified technical specification for a secure exchange of financial data.
