Quicken.com Honored for Business Excellence on the Web by IDG's WebMaster Magazine
Framingham, MA - August 25, 1997 - Quicken.com is among the top 100 Internet and intranet sites, according to WebMaster magazine. Award-winning sites are featured in the magazine's special August edition, the WebMaster 50/50 issue. Intuit's Quicken.com (http://www.quicken.com) is a comprehensive, objective web site offering personal finance news, information and tools -- including the leading mutual fund and insurance sites -- to help consumers make smart financial choices with confidence.

The WebMaster 50/50 awards program recognizes innovative Internet and intranet development efforts. The award is given to 50 Internet and 50 intranet sites that use the 'Net to meet overall business objectives.

Nearly 900 WebMaster site visitors filled out an electronic ballot at the WebMaster site (www.web-master.com) to nominate a Web environment, a single site or a single application. WebMaster editors judged each nomination based on the following criteria: which organizations use the Web to open new markets, expand existing ones, manage information, and/or maintain cost-effective interactions.

"By providing a timely, accessible environment, the Internet has enabled Quicken.com to become the objective source for making the most of your money," said Intuit Co-Founder and Chairman Scott Cook. "We are pleased to be honored by WebMaster, a leader in recognizing how dramatically the Internet can improve a company's ability to reach and help its customers and prospects."

According to WebMaster magazine Publisher and Editor in Chief Lew McCreary, "These award winners anticipate and adapt to the flow of the mercurial Web, trying not just to go with it but managing to stay out in front. They most clearly represent the benchmarks, circa 1997, of business excellence on the Web."
