Quicken 98 Arrives in Stores Tomorrow
New Product Line Meets Diverse Needs of Consumers
Mountain View, Calif. - October 22, 1997 - A new version of the nation's best selling personal finance software, Quicken Deluxe 98 from Intuit Inc. (NASDAQ:INTU), hits the shelves of thousands of retail stores throughout the country tomorrow.

Quicken Deluxe 98 helps users invest smarter on stocks and mutual funds; save money on taxes, insurance and mortgages; and prepare for financial emergencies - all with less work. Embedded browser technology in this year's Windows version gives users the power to directly and quickly retrieve their checking, credit card and investment account data, significantly reducing the need for manual input of data and placing all of the information in one location in Quicken.

Along with Quicken Deluxe 98, Intuit launches a new product tomorrow - Quicken Home & Business 98 - a version of Quicken for Windows that blends easy invoicing, receivables tracking, tax help and business information with all of the features of Quicken Deluxe 98.

While Intuit's popular QuickBooksTM program remains the most complete and easy-to-use solution for small business accounting, Quicken Home & Business 98 is aimed at the three million Quicken customers who already use the program to run small businesses and who want to add invoicing and other basic business functions to their personal finance programs. Together with Quicken Deluxe 98 and Quicken Home & Business 98, Intuit is offering new versions of its other popular products: Quicken Basic 98; the easiest way for people to start organizing their finances, and Quicken Suite 98; a money-saving bundle of three Intuit products - Quicken Deluxe, Quicken Financial PlannerTM and Quicken Family LawyerTM - designed to help users sustain and protect their wealth.
