Last Year's Quicken Defeats Money 98 To Earn A PC Computing 1997 MVP Award
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA - November 21, 1997 - Intuit's Quicken Deluxe 6 was selected for a prestigious PC Computing 1997 MVP award in the personal finance category, besting Microsoft Money 98. The award-winner was actually last year's version of the leading personal finance software. The PC Computing MVP Awards were announced on November 16, 1997 at COMDEX/Fall, in Las Vegas.

PC Computing's MVP Awards are based on extensive in-depth testing of literally thousands of products by PC Computing's editorial staff. PC Computing has a circulation of 1 million readers, who use this magazine as both a reference tool and buying guide.

"Quicken has always been the leader in personal finance software, and while Quicken 6 was a strong product, Quicken 98 is even better," said Scott Cook, chairman and co-founder of Intuit. "Quicken 98 helps consumers do more than organize their finances. It helps them make the most of their money by leveraging the Web to manage investments, save on insurance, mortgages and more."

This year's Quicken 98 product line further expands on the leading-edge personal finance solution that earned the MVP award. Quicken 98, available in retail stores since October 23rd, helps consumers save money on taxes, insurance and mortgages by comparison shopping online; invest smarter with free news, quotes and research on stocks and mutual funds; and helps people prepare for financial emergencies -- all with less work.

The new product line includes Quicken Basic 98, Quicken Deluxe 98, Quicken Suite, 98 and the new Quicken Home and Business 98, providing a variety of solutions to meet customers' needs. Quicken 98 also links to Intuit's award-winning website, Quicken.com, at www.quicken.com.
