Intuit Taps The Knot as the Exclusive Wedding Resource for Quicken.com
The Knot to Play Key Role in New Quicken.com Life Events Channel
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - October 21, 1998 - Intuit Inc. (NASDAQ:INTU) today enhanced its Quicken.com (www.quicken.com) site, making it an even more useful life-planning tool with the signing of an exclusive agreement with The Knot, the #1 online wedding resource and gift registry. Under the terms of the agreement, The Knot will become the exclusive wedding resource on Quicken.com, a leading online finance Web site.

The Knot is the first content and services participant named in Quicken.com's new Life Events Channel, which helps consumers understand and manage the financial impact of various life events, including weddings, marriage, birth, parenting, college and retirement.

"The recent addition of Quicken.com's Life Events channel helps consumers feel more confident about meeting their financial goals and responsibilities," said Stephen Johnson, Product Manager for Quicken.com. "In particular, it helps consumers understand their alternatives and prepare for the future. Designed as a comprehensive resource, The Life Events wedding area combines educational information, interactive tools and vibrant community from both The Knot and Quicken.com. The Knot is the area's Wedding Expert and contributes in-depth content and its signature planning tools and services, including The Knot Wedding Budgeter, The Knot Wedding Gift Registry and The Ultimate Wedding Checklist. Quicken supplies additional customized financial tools and information for to-be-weds. Consumers also can access The Knot's full complement of features and services through direct links to The Knot from the Quicken.com site.
