Intuit Introduces Total Personal Finance Solution In A Box
Quicken® Suite 2000 for Windows Includes Quicken Deluxe®, TurboTax® Deluxe and State and Quicken Family Lawyer™
Mountain View, Calif. - August 23, 1999 - Intuit Inc. (NASDAQ: INTU), the leader in personal and small business finance software today introduced Quicken Suite 2000 for Windows, a four-in-one product featuring America's top-selling personal finance management, tax preparation and legal document software.

Quicken Suite 2000 for Windows includes Quicken Deluxe 2000 for Windows, (also announced today), which includes all of the functionality of Intuit's award-winning financial planning software, Quicken Financial Planner. It also includes Intuit's industry leading TurboTax Deluxe, TurboTax State and Broderbund's Quicken Family Lawyer, all for a suggested retail price of $69.95 (after a $20 rebate available to all purchasers).

"This bundle lets users manage their finances, invest wisely, plan for the future, plan for and prepare taxes, and prepare important legal documents - all in one place," said Kevin Reeth, Quicken senior product manager. "Increased integration between the products also means that users can share information from one product to another, helping them to get a comprehensive view of their total financial situation, make better financial decisions and do more with their money.

Quicken Suite 2000 for Windows includes:

  • Quicken Deluxe 2000 for Windows -- the newest version of Quicken includes numerous new features and product enhancements to help consumers make more informed financial decisions. Through improved integration with Quicken.com, Quicken 2000 enables users to gather the critical information they need to help them evaluate and decide how to invest their money. It also helps users in better understanding the tax implications of investing decisions and plan for taxes throughout the year. Quicken 2000 fully integrates all the functionality of Intuit's Quicken Financial Planner but with a new approach that lets users plan only for those events that are relevant to their situation. A new streamlined interface improves the overall navigation of the product and makes the product easier to use.   • TurboTax Deluxe and TurboTax State for Tax Year 1999 -- TurboTax products offer the fastest, easiest and most complete way to plan, prepare, and file taxes. As the nation's best-selling tax preparation software for 16 years, TurboTax continues to set the standard for this category.
  • Quicken® Family Lawyer® 2000 Deluxe -- Developed by Broderbund, Quicken Family Lawyer allows users to create thousands of customized legal documents. The product uses an exclusive interview process to help users customize important documents such as wills, living trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and more. Pricing and Availability
Quicken Suite 2000 for Windows and the entire Quicken 2000 product family is expected to be available by August 29, 1999. The suggested retail price of Quicken Suite 2000 is $69.95 after a $20 rebate for all purchasers.

Consumers purchasing Quicken Suite 2000 prior to the shipping dates of tax year 1999 TurboTax products will receive in-box rebates/coupons for both TurboTax Deluxe and TurboTax State for redemption when each product is available.

Pricing for the rest of the Quicken 2000 product line is as follows: Quicken Basic 2000 for Windows is $19.95 after a $10.00 rebate for previous Quicken users. Quicken Deluxe 2000 for Windows or Macintosh is $39.95 after a $20.00 rebate for previous Quicken users. Quicken Home & Business 2000 for Windows is $59.95 after a $20.00 rebate for previous Quicken users. Intuit also offers Quicken Deluxe 2000 for Macintosh. The suggested retail price is $39.95 after a $20 rebate for previous Quicken users.
