QuickenInsurance Kicks-Off First-Ever National Advertising Campaign
Quicken® InsureMarket® Changes Name to QuickenInsurance
Mountain View, Calif. - October 29, 1999 - Intuit Insurance Services, Inc. (IIS), the provider of the QuickenInsurance service, the leading insurance marketplace and a wholly owned subsidiary of Intuit Inc. (NASDAQ: INTU), today announced the launch of its first national broadcast television and radio advertising campaign. The broadcast campaign, which will begin airing in late October, will run on national cable outlets including MSNBC, ESPN, VH-1, MTV, TLC and THC.

"QuickenInsurance can help consumers find the best priced insurance coverage from some of the best carriers in the industry," said Steven Aldrich, President of IIS. "By promoting QuickenInsurance's services, we will spread the word to consumers that there is an easier and more economical way to buy insurance using the full convenience of the Internet."

The first commercial to air, entitled "Dentist," features a man on the street who opts for a root canal over shopping for insurance, emphasizing the complicated and often unpleasant process of traditional insurance shopping. Reflective of QuickenInsurance's commitment to helping consumers obtain insurance coverage easily and painlessly, the commercials carry the tagline "Auto. Life. Whatever. How easy is this?" Wunderman Cato Johnson, the agency of record, created the QuickenInsurance campaign.
