Intuit And DigitalThink To Provide QuickBooks Training On The Web
Now QuickBooks Users Can Access Hands-On E-Learning Solutions for Anytime, Anywhere Tutorial
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - January 11, 2001 - To help its small business customers get the most out of its best selling QuickBooks© and QuickBooks Pro© small business financial management software, Intuit Inc. (NASDAQ: INTU) today announced it is working with DigitalThink, Inc. (NASDAQ: DTHK) to offer a new interactive "online" training program on the Web. Now, busy QuickBooks customers have the option of taking a course online or attending a one- or two-day training seminar.

"QuickBooks training on the Web is one more way Intuit is making it easier for small business owners to learn more about all QuickBooks has to offer - anytime, anywhere," said Vanlee Waters, Product Manager, Training, Education & Publishing at Intuit. "Through our association with DigitalThink, the leader in developing and hosting e-learning solutions, Intuit is able to deliver a modular curriculum so users can focus on a specific area at their convenience without leaving the home or office."

The online e-learning program, which includes all the content delivered in most one-day seminars, is offered at $79.95 per course, which must be completed within 90 days of enrollment. The course reviews how to work more productively with the QuickBooks interface; create a new company database; work with the chart of accounts; add and edit items, customers and invoices; enter sales and invoices; receive payments and make deposits; create checks; and produce basic financial reports.

The Getting Started with QuickBooks online training course can be purchased at www.intuitmarket.com. More information is also available at www.QuickBooks.com/elearning. The user must have access to a computer running Windows 95/98/NT and have Internet access to complete the exercises.

Intuit also offers instructor led QuickBooks-endorsed training seminars for small businesses and accounting professionals through Real World Training, Inc. To enroll for an on-site, in person seminar, QuickBooks users should call Real World Training at 1-800-564-2688 or visit www.quickbooks.com/training. The cost of the seminar is $164 for one day and $299 for two days.
