Two dominant players in the software industry have formed an alliance to bring business planning resources to Quicken® and Quicken.com Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) users. Palo Alto Software, known for the best selling business planning software, Business Plan Pro™, announced a marketing alliance with Intuit (NASDAQ: INTU) the leading provider of financial software and Web-based services for consumers, small businesses and accounting professionals.
Under this agreement, Palo Alto Software provides Intuit's Quicken and Quicken.com customers with access to a suite of powerful analytical tools to better plan and analyze their business operations. Palo Alto Software now offers a selection of business planning tools to Quicken.com's growing online services focusing on adding efficiency and content-rich planning resources. These tools can be accessed from the "Start a Business" section of the Quicken.com Small Business Channel. Users of Quicken 2001 Home & Business for Windows who regularly perform the "One Step Update" can access these online tools from within the "Business" section of the Quicken Services Directory. Users of Quicken 2001 Basic and Deluxe for Windows can access the Palo Alto Business Planning content under the Planning Section of the Quicken Services Directory.
This alliance allows Quicken users to have easy access to one of the most respected and extensive collections of online business planning resources available, including: interactive planning tools, a library of articles, and the Mini Plan. The Mini Plan tool allows the emerging entrepreneur to take the initial steps to define and explore the viability of their business concept. The business owner can also purchase Business Plan Pro for further development of the business idea into a complete business plan-a professional-looking document that is respected in the investment, financial and business planning communities.
"Through their Quicken Home & Business software offering, and the Small Business Channel on Quicken.com, Intuit has been providing content and services to help people learn about and run their SOHO businesses.
