MOUNTAIN VIEW - April 08, 2002 - Answering the call of customer demand, Intuit Inc. "QuickBase for Corporate Workgroups enables the everyday business user to create solutions in minutes, rather than in months. This kind of efficiency and cost saving is critical to any business for ultimate success," said Jill Ward, vice president and general manager, QuickBase. "In conducting research with our customers, we found that many corporate workgroups were using our small business QuickBase service because of its ease-of-use, versatility and efficiency. We learned from these corporate customers that there were additional capabilities that would be useful to them because of their size, structured organizational roles and more complex processes; so we created QuickBase for Corporate Workgroups to meet their specific needs."

At the core of QuickBase for Corporate Workgroups is ease and intuitive functionality. This Web-based service is easily accessible via a Web browser and Internet connection, allowing private viewing of critical information in one central location, both on and off the business premises.

QuickBase for Corporate Workgroups enables users to do multiple things like track projects among cross- functional teams; share customer information between sales and service departments in the company; and manage issue lists between distributed team members inside and outside the company. Users can easily share their databases and have complete control over who can view, modify or add information to it. Because information is consolidated in real time, users can gather information and track it efficiently.

QuickBase for Corporate Workgroups includes new features that can satisfy the needs of larger or more structured organizations such as:

  • One consolidated workgroup account, giving everyone on the team the ability to create databases under one billing account
  • Greater capacity with database size up to 10 MB
  • Room to grow with the number of databases, database storage capacity, and users (additional fees apply)
  • More control over users' accessibility to databases, either by individual or role within the workgroup
  • Extended permissions, allowing for additional sharing rules within the team
  • Enhanced workflow features designed to keep members informed and up-to-date
  • Workgroup administration capabilities, including adding new members, resetting passwords, deactivating members
  • QuickBase usage monitoring and reporting, giving the administrator more control to monitor usage and view lists of databases created by the team who is accessing them
