Intuit Inc. (NASDAQ:INTU) today announced an agreement with FedEx Corporate Services, Inc. to offer discounts on select FedEx Express® and FedEx Ground® shipping services to registered users of QuickBooks® and QuickBooks® Enterprise Solutions Business Management Software. In addition to the discount, Intuit plans to integrate FedEx shipping services into the next release of QuickBooks software, which is expected to be available later this year.
"Half of our 2.5 million QuickBooks customers ship on a regular basis, so it's critical to their business," said Dan Levin, vice president of QuickBooks Financial Solutions. "Teaming with FedEx is going to help our customers save potentially hundreds and thousands of dollars each year."
All registered QuickBooks users are eligible for the discount, regardless of whether they've shipped with FedEx before or not. Discounts apply to a mix of U.S. domestic and international services, including the popular FedEx Priority Overnight® and FedEx Ground® services for business-to-business shipping. There are no minimum shipping requirements to earn the discount and no limits on the savings.
"QuickBooks is a solid small-businesses management solution, so the attractive discounts for FedEx shipping services add to the business-management value QuickBooks users want," said David Payton, director of marketing for FedEx. "It also gives them the FedEx reliability and services they need for all domestic and international shipping."
Registered QuickBooks and QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions Business Management Software users can call FedEx at (888) 411-5174 to sign up for the shipping discount program. For more information, visit www.quickbooks.com/services/fedex .
