Intuit Lacerte Proves Right For LeMaster & Daniels
One of the largest professional services firms in the Pacific Northwest cites Lacerte's ease-of-use, integration capabilities and more.
PLANO, Texas - April 16, 2003 - After completing a full tax season using Lacerte® software as the standardized tax platform for all of their offices, one of the country's largest accounting firms has found the Intuit solution right not only for a firm performing complex work, but right for its 10,000 clients as well.

LeMaster & Daniels, ranked among the industry's top 50 firms and a leader in tax processing, is one of the Pacific Northwest's most renowned accounting and business consulting organizations. The Spokane, WA-based firm has 250 employees in 11 locations. In October, 2002 they standardized on the Intuit Lacerte platform after an independent analysis ranked Lacerte first among leading competitors.

"At LeMaster & Daniels, we're business advisors trusted by our clients to guide them to their goals and dreams. We need the very best resources to fulfill that mission," said Scott Dietzen, LeMaster & Daniels' chief executive officer. "The Lacerte tax software platform has proven to be instrumental in helping us meet that commitment. The platform's ease-of-use, unmatched integration, and arsenal of tools for the professional accountant gives us a substantial competitive advantage."

As part of LeMaster & Daniels' decision process, InfoTech Partners North America, Inc., Phoenix, evaluated several professional tax applications. Their analysis included surveying employees, reviewing the firm's IT infrastructure and its tax processing requirements. They also evaluated the capabilities of the various tax applications specifically against the requirements of the LeMaster & Daniels client base.

"We found that Lacerte could effectively handle even the most complex LeMaster & Daniels returns," said Roman H. Kepcyzk, CPA, CITP, president of InfoTech Partners. "Overall, we found Lacerte to require minimal technical support and less training. We also found it significantly less expensive than competitive offerings for large tax firms."

Lacerte has a proven ability to meet the requirements of larger accounting firms, said Dan Manack, Intuit senior vice president and leader of the company's Professional Accounting Solutions group (www.accountant.intuit.com).

"The breadth and depth of Lacerte functionality surprises people not familiar with the application," Manack said. "They find it is more complete, reliable and has better support than other tax software platforms. It's a great value."
