Intuit Announces New Master Builder Authorized Associate Program
Master Builder Product, Training & Support and Benefits Program Offers Accountants More Ways to Better Serve Construction-Industry Clients
Mountain View, Calif. - October 28, 2003 - Intuit Inc., (Nasdaq: INTU) a leading provider of business and financial management solutions for consumers, businesses and accounting professionals, today announced the new Intuit® Master Builder™ Authorized Associate Program (AAP). Continuing to deliver on Intuit's "Right for My Firm, Right for My Clients" strategy, the Master Builder Authorized Associate Program is one more way that Intuit is helping accountants and business consultants better serve the specific needs of their construction-industry clients, while also offering them programs, services and benefits to grow their own practices. Through AAP membership, accountants working with construction-industry clients, have an opportunity to access in-depth training, support and sales resources necessary to confidently use and recommend Intuit Master Builder, as well as increase their network of professionals who serve the construction industry.

There are more than 1.3 million construction businesses in the United States (1999 U.S. census), and Intuit research estimates more than 317,000 accountants serving the needs of construction clients. Many of these construction business owners have expressed several unique needs in running their business, including a streamlined process to accurately track job changes and faster and easier access to the information and tasks they do most. As part of Intuit's "Right for My Business" strategy, Master Builder is a fully integrated solution that offers construction-specific specialized reporting to track projects, employee productivity and other business elements, as well as a means to accurately record profits on each project.

As the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program supports accountants in their ability to serve their clients and grow their practice with small businesses, the Master Builder Authorized Associate Program is similarly designed with the specific needs in mind of the construction industry and the services accountants provide to these clients. Through the AAP, accountants can build a network of professionals who are experienced with Master Builder, and potentially generate additional revenue for their own practices by leveraging this network and their construction-industry expertise to attract new clients.

"Just as we work closely with contractors to develop solutions with the features and functionality that meet their unique needs, we also work closely with accountants to offer them programs and tools so they can work effectively with their construction-industry clients," said Carol Novello, president of Intuit Construction Business Solutions. "Accountants are increasingly serving as trusted business advisors to their clients and the Master Builder Authorized Associate Program is just one more way that accountants can help their clients find the right tools to run their business, while growing their own practice."

"Since becoming a Master Builder Authorized Associate, I have been very impressed with the program and how closely I am able to work with Intuit to best determine the needs of my construction-industry clients and whether they may need to move to Master Builder," said Bruce T. Anderson, CPA and Master Builder Authorized Associate Program member. "As a result, I have been able to offer clients specialized expertise to address their specific construction needs, as well as open up a window of opportunity to build my practice and sign on new clients in the construction industry."
