Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq: INTU) today announced that Nick Spaeth, senior vice president and general counsel, has resigned to accept a position in his hometown of Kansas City.
"Intuit is a great company, this has been an outstanding opportunity for me and I think Intuit has a brilliant future. However, my family and I have decided we couldn't leave Kansas City," said Spaeth. "While this was a difficult decision for me professionally, it's the right move personally. Among the opportunities available in Kansas City, I was fortunate enough to be selected chief legal officer of H&R Block Inc.
"Nick has made valuable contributions and we're sorry to see him leave," said Steve Bennett, Intuit's president and chief executive officer. "At the same time, we have a talented legal team and look forward to bringing another world-class leader to Intuit." Intuit has begun a search for Spaeth's replacement.
