Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq: INTU) today named Brad Smith the new senior vice president of Intuit's industry-leading consumer tax business. Smith, who previously ran Intuit's Accountant Central organization, will oversee operations for Intuit's consumer tax group including the company's flagship product TurboTax.
With Smith's move, Intuit announced that Vice President Jill Ward will now lead the Accountant Central organization in addition to leading the company's vertical business management solutions.
"Over the last year, Brad has done a tremendous job developing strategies, programs and service offerings that offer value to an important community of accountants," said Steve Bennett, Intuit president and chief executive officer. "He is an excellent leader and will do a great job building on our success in consumer tax this season. We are also thrilled about the expanded role of Jill Ward, who will provide strong leadership to our Accountant Central organization."
