Intuit Answers Call for QuickBooks Enterprise Channel Program
New Program Positions Participants to Better Serve Needs of Mid-market Businesses
PHOENIX - May 31, 2006 - Due to overwhelming demand from customers choosing QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions® over more complex and expensive mid-market offerings, Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq: INTU) today unveiled a new channel initiative. The QuickBooks Enterprise Solution Provider Program will provide greater support for customers and enable Solution Providers to build their own businesses for long-term success. The pilot program was announced today at the company's inaugural QuickBooks Enterprise User Conference, which drew hundreds of C-level managers, customers, partners and developers from across the country.

Currently, more than 25,000 businesses have turned to QuickBooks Enterprise as an alternative to their current business management systems. Revenue is up 116 percent over last year as more companies recognize the power of the product. Sales have increased due in part to high-demand from companies that have abandoned competing offerings that are too complex - and costly - for their needs.

The program addresses this growing demand by providing marketing, support, training and lead generation tools to help partners locate potential customers and work with current users to maximize the power of the product. Program members will also receive the company's highest discounts on QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions business management software and commissions for sales bundled with professional services. To ensure end-user satisfaction, membership is limited to QuickBooks Enterprise-certified advisors with significant experience in assisting mid-market clients.

"My background for more than 15 years has been in developing and managing channel strategies to ensure value for partners and meet the needs of customers. I plan to bring the same level of expertise to the QuickBooks Enterprise program," said Jim Gregg, newly appointed Channel Director. "Our team designed a program that helps participants take advantage of the vast opportunity to help mid-market companies get the powerful business management software they need with the legendary simplicity of QuickBooks."

Applying the same customer-driven approach used to develop its market-leading products, Intuit also collaborated with a steering committee of software resellers and QuickBooks ProAdvisors to create the program.

Scaling to Meet the Needs of Mid-market Businesses
The power of QuickBooks Enterprise is reflected in the latest upgrades including a new powerful SQL database and faster multi-user performance. For companies looking for increased scalability, Intuit also announced the immediate availability of a new 20-user version of QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions. This addition gives customers the choice between five, 10, 15 and 20 concurrent users, enabling them to easily select a product that is tailored to their needs and works the way they work.

"Being able to have as many as 20 employees on QuickBooks is crucial to our success," said Marg French, IT manager of Chatfield Lumber in Eyota, Minn. "The ability to host 20 users at the same time will allow me to stay with QuickBooks Enterprise and not have to worry about re-training my staff on a new system. This product continues to grow with me, saving me money and resources over time."
