How to do I print a message on a check? |
| |
| Answer: |
An extra message line can be added to your Quicken checks and printed where it cannot be seen from the transparent window on the envelope. You can use it for confidential information such as account numbers or for special messages, such as "Happy Birthday".
To add a message line:
- From the Quicken Banking menu, choose Write Checks.
- Within the Write Checks window, click the Options button.
- Click the Checks tab.
- In the Check Settings section, select the checkbox for Allow Entry of Extra Message on Check.
- Click OK.
- The Write Checks window now includes a Message field. You can enter 64 characters in this field; however, only 46 characters will print on the check.
Note: If you add a message, then clear the Allow Entry of Extra Message on Check checkbox, Quicken saves the text of the message. You can restore the message by selecting the checkbox again. |
