What's new in Quicken 99's latest program release?Free

Internet connection. The most current update is release
5 (R5). This release was made available May, 2000. Previously, the
following updates were made available:

R5 Release Information
The R5 update makes a single change in the Quicken 99 program. This change
resolves an online banking issue, in which newly downloaded transactions
match older transactions when using the Compare
to Register feature. It also resolves a display
issue in the Online Center.
R4 Release Information
The R4 update makes a single change in the Quicken 99 program. This change
provides enhancements and improvements to the online banking functionality.

Note: The R4 update includes all changes and improvements made in all
prior releases (R2 and R3). This means that if you upgrade to R4 from any prior release,
including the original program release, all changes from R2 through R4 will be included.
R3 Release Information
Important improvements with the R3 update include:
- Quicken data export to WebTurboTax - Some customers experienced an error message when
exporting tax-related data from a Quicken 99 data file to the WebTurboTax program. This
has been corrected.
- Tax Center calculation - In the Observations section of the Tax Center, the number of
days until next tax deadline may have been misinterpreted. This has been corrected.
- Exporting securities data to TurboTax - An improvement has been made in exporting
securities information to the TurboTax program when the average cost method has been used.
- Divide error - Certain Auto Expense transactions dated January, 1999 caused an error
message when opening a financial center where that information was being tracked, most
often the Home & Car Center.
R2 Release Information
Important improvements in the R2 update included:
- Support for the 1998 Taxpayer Relief Act - The Quicken Tax Planner has additional
deductions for items such as student loan interest payments and revised calculations for
capital gains reporting.
- Quicken Home Page updates - The My Accounts and My Portfolio snapshots now automatically
update after changes are made to the data in the open file (including security quotes
downloads).
- A more comprehensive process for converting data files from Quicken 98 (and other prior
versions) to Quicken 99.
- The lightning bolt that identifies accounts enabled for online services will now always
show in the account list.
- The recurring payments tab will now remain visible for accounts enabled for online bill
payment.
- For online payments, the payment date display is now correctly associated with a payee
when using the QuickFill procedure.
