received a sunset notification.
Does Quicken know if I use these services?
Q: Which Quicken Online Services are
being sunset and when?
A: As of April 19th, 2005, in accordance with the
Quicken sunset policy, Online Services1
and Live Technical Support2
will no longer be available for Quicken 2001 and 2002 users.
These services include online bill pay; downloading financial
data from your bank, credit union, credit card, brokerage,
401(k) or mutual fund accounts; downloading stock quotes,
news headlines and other financial information into Quicken;
uploading portfolio information from Quicken to Quicken.com;
and access to the investing features on Quicken.com including
portfolio tracking, any watch lists you have created, One-Click
Scorecard, Stock Evaluator and Mutual Fund Evaluator.
To continue using these services and maintain access to live
technical support from an Intuit representative, you will
need to upgrade to Quicken
2005.

Q: Why are Online Services being sunset
for older versions of Quicken?
A: Intuit is committed to delivering the best possible
products, service, and security to our customers. Each year,
the number of customers using current versions of Quicken
grows. Retirement of online services for older Quicken versions
lets us focus our resources on supporting our more current
products, which are used by the majority of Quicken customers.

Q: What will happen if I don't upgrade?
A: As of April 19, 2005, in accordance with the Quicken
sunset policy, Online Services1
and Live Technical Support2
will no longer be available for Quicken 2001 and 2002 users.
This means that you will no longer be able to download financial
data into older Quicken software. You will still be able to
manually enter your data.
Attempts to use Online Services after April 19, 2005 will
result in a variety of program error messages related to the
feature or service you try to access.

Q: Will Quicken 2005 run on my current
operating system?
A. Quicken 2005 for Windows is compatible with many
operating systems including Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP. Quicken
2005 for Mac is compatible with OS X. Please view our Quicken

Q: What will happen to my existing data
when I upgrade to Quicken 2005?
A: When moving from one version of Quicken to a newer
version, there is a process called conversion that will make
your data compatible with the newer program's data standards.
This upgrade process is easy as Quicken 2005 automatically
reads your existing data file and the program guides you along
the way.

Q: How do I know what version of Quicken
I am currently using?
A: If you are using Microsoft Windows, start the Quicken
program, and then select About Quicken from the Help
menu. If you are using Quicken for Mac, choose About Quicken
for Mac from the Apple menu.

Q: Although I dont use Online
Services, I received a sunset notification. Why did I receive
this?
A: We are notifying virtually all customers using
these affected versions in multiple ways
Q: Does Quicken know if I use
these services?
A: At Intuit, customer privacy is of paramount importance
to us. We do not monitor how individual customers use the
product. The Quicken product does not communicate with Intuit
without your knowledge and the software did not send any information
to Intuit to trigger this message.
