Additional FAQs: Sunset of Online Services for older versions of Quicken

Is Quicken Interchange File (QIF) download from my bank's Web site affected by this change?

Q: Is Quicken Interchange File (QIF) download from my bank's Web site affected by this change?

A: Importing QIF data as a method of downloading from your bank’s web site will not be affected in your older version.

Beginning with Quicken 2005 for Windows, QIF Data Import will no longer be available for most accounts. Learn more about the changes that are taking place with the QIF file format.

QIF Import is not affected in Mac versions of Quicken

Q: Is Web Connect Download affected by this change?

A: Yes. This method of downloading will no longer work in Quicken 2001 and 2002. Quicken 2001 & 2002 will return an error message if you attempt to download using Web Connect after April 19, 2005.

Q: When upgrading to Quicken 2005, do I have the option of changing from Windows to Macintosh or from Macintosh to Windows versions?

A: Yes, we offer comprehensive instructions for converting data from Quicken for Windows to Macintosh or Quicken for Macintosh to Windows.

Q: Are the Quicken Credit Card and the Quicken Business Card affected by this change?

A: If you use Quicken 2001 or 2002, you will not be able download your Quicken Credit Card or Quicken Business Card transactions into your Quicken software after April 19, 2005.

If you use a current version such as Quicken 2003, 2004, or 2005, you will not be affected by this change.

To continue using Online Services with Quicken, you will need to upgrade to Quicken 2005.

Q: Is Quicken Bill Pay affected?

A: If you currently subscribe to Quicken Bill Pay, you will no longer be able to use the service through the Quicken program after April 19, 2005 for Quicken 2001 & 2002. If you would like to continue using Quicken Bill Pay through the Quicken program, you will need to upgrade to Quicken 2005. For additional questions regarding how this change affects your ability to use Quicken Bill Pay in Quicken, please call Quicken Bill Pay customer service toll-free at (877) 486-8844.

Q: Are replacement parts available for Sunset versions of Quicken?

A: No. Once a version of Quicken is sunset, replacement CDs, diskettes, and manuals are no longer available from Intuit.

Q: Has Quicken 2005 been updated since it was launched?

A: As a normal aspect of our product launch, Intuit periodically issues free updates in an effort to modify the software, provide the latest program enhancements, and solve any known product issues that would impede our customers use of the product. These releases are automatically downloaded into the product during normal use of the product during the One-Step Update.
