Release 3 (R3) is now available for Quicken Deluxe 2000 for Macintosh. Intuit recommends that all Quicken Deluxe 2000 for Macintosh users install this update.

All Quicken users:

You may have experienced:

• An issue where a year 2000 date you entered in your account register or for an Investment Action changed to a 1900 date, or a 1999 date you entered changed to a 2099 date. This issue has been corrected.
• An issue where check numbers of five (5) or more digits appear truncated in the Reconcile window. This issue has been corrected.
• A problem where unaccepted transactions in the Download Transactions Window were not saved when the Save a Copy operation was performed. This issue has been corrected.
• An issue where Average Cost per Share was not being calculated correctly when transactions included shares of a security that split. This issue has been corrected.
• An issue where investment calculations were incorrect when a stock split was followed by a sell of partial lots. This issue has been corrected.
• A PPC Memory Exception message when clicking the mini calendar in the date field of a register whose account had been enabled for both online banking and online payment. This issue has been corrected.

Online banking and payment customers only:

You may have experienced:

• An issue where transactions in the Download Transactions window did not refresh after transactions were checked off and accepted into the register. This issue has been corrected.
• An issue where transactions that had been accepted into the register would re-appear in the Download Transactions window after conversion from an older version of Quicken, to Quicken 2000.
• A  problem where you were unable to edit an unsent online payment with a bracketed transfer category. This issue has been corrected.
• Previous versions of Quicken limited the number of times you could go online to download your banking transactions to once per day on weekdays and not at all on weekends, if a connection was made on the preceding Friday. This restriction has been removed. However, it is unlikely that your bank will post transactions more than once each weekday. Also, transactions are generally not posted over the weekend.

Note: All issues that were corrected with Release 2 (R2) of Quicken Deluxe 2000 have also been corrected in R3.

Follow these instructions to install the R3 update:

1. If you have not yet installed Quicken Deluxe 2000, do so now.
2. In you have not already done so, register your copy of Quicken Deluxe 2000.
3. Click the link below to download the R3 update.
4. Use Stuffit Expander to decompress the update folder if your browser did not already decompress it for you. 
5. Open the Quicken 2000 R3 Updater folder and double-click the Quicken Deluxe 2000 Updater application.
6. Select the Quicken Deluxe 2000 application located in the Quicken Deluxe 2000 folder on your hard disk.
7. Click the Update button.
