Quicken 2003 for Mac

Release 5 (R5) is now available. Intuit recommends that all Quicken 2003 for Mac users install this update.

Download and install R5 to take advantage of the following improvements:

Note: Stuffit Expander is required to install Quicken updates. Stuffit Expander is not included in Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger). If you are using Tiger, a free download of Stuffit Expander is available at http://www.stuffit.com/mac/expander/index.html.

For users of online services:

If you are using a previous version of Quicken 2003 for Mac (R1, R2, R3, or R4), you must install the R5 update to continue using the following online services:

• Downloading stock quotes and other financial information
• Uploading portfolio information from Quicken to Quicken.com
• Accessing Quicken.com investment tools, including portfolio tracking, watch lists, One-Click Scorecard™, Stock Evaluator, and Mutual Fund Evaluator

Changes made in prior releases include:

For all Mac users:

• Capital Gains Estimator and Tax Planner: Updates to the tax calculation tables have been made to provide more current information when using the Capital Gains Estimator.
• QuickFill: You may have encountered a problem with duplicated QuickFill transactions which caused instability with the data file. Attempting to delete the duplications may cause the Quicken program to stop responding. This issue has been fixed.
• One Step Update/ PIN Vault/ Scheduled Updates: Increased stability and performance changes have been made to these areas, providing a better user experience.
• Printing: You may have experienced a problem where you were unable to print memorized reports. This issue has been fixed.
• Mouse Scroll Wheel Support: Additional support has been added in this release to improve mouse scroll wheel use.
• Reports and Graphs: Changes have been made in this release to provide a more stable experience while using reports and graphs.
• Save A Copy and Reconciled Transactions: You may have encountered an issue when using the Save A Copy feature on a data file with manually reconciled transactions which caused the status of these transactions to change from a R to a C. This issue has been fixed in this release.

For download transaction users

• Matching previously downloaded transactions: Quicken 2003 for Mac may have stopped responding when attempting to match transactions previously downloaded. This issue has been fixed in this release.
• Downloading Investment Transactions: You may have noticed that in some circumstances, the application would stop responding following a successful download session. This issue has been fixed in this release.

For Mac OS® X users

• Sending Online Payments: Occasionally, Quicken 2003 for Mac would stop responding when attempting to send payments. This issue has been fixed in this release.
• PIN Vault: You may have noticed that stored PINs were unable to be viewed or edited. These issues have been fixed in this release.
