Reinstalling the Quicken
2006 program update
If the updated Quicken 2006 program must be uninstalled and
the original program version reinstalled at a later time, it
is not necessary to re-download the latest program update. The
file used to update your Quicken software (qwpatch.exe) is stored
on your computer's hard disk, unless it has been manually removed.
Note: If the Quicken program is uninstalled and reinstalled,
be sure to restart the computer after uninstalling, and before
reinstalling.
After reinstalling Quicken 2006 from the original CD-ROM, follow
these steps to find and install the latest program update:
- Locate the update file
on your computer.
- Double-click the file to begin the Quicken 2006 update
process.
- Follow the update wizard instructions to complete the
Quicken 2006 update installation.
Once installation of the update is complete, ensure that it
was successful by checking
which release of Quicken is installed.
